National Nuclear Centre, Sellafield, West Cumbria
1995-1997 Lead consultant architect for Stages B-E. £250m, 16,000m² – Nuclear R&D Laboratory. Relocation from 1950’s nuclear labs to new building which included nuclear active and non-active accommodation. Innovation included treating the active and non-active labs as transparent and as similar as possible within nuclear constraints and creating an internal forum which acted as the main forum and wayfinding route within the building.
